Once Upon a Time Bookstore is proud to present to our community a moderated panel of children's literature experts discussing diversity and inclusion. Moderated by Once Upon a Time's Jessica Palacios, our panelists include Newbery-winning author LINDA SUE PARK (A SINGLE SHARD), ZAREEN JAFFERY, Executive Editor of Simon & Schuster's Muslim imprint for children, Salaam Reads, and ALYSON BEECHER, Pasadena educator, nationally known blogger (KidLitFrenzy) and committee member of ALA's Schneider Family Book Awards.
This panel and discussion is geared toward educators, librarians, principals, & those with an interest in children's literature. There will be a booksigning afterwards by Linda Sue Park. Also, a plethora of books representing the subject matter will be for sale (20% off up to $300, 25% off over $300), as well as acceptance of school's purchase orders for free delivery bulk buying.
Raffle!!! Finger foods, chocolate and drinks will be provided. It's free to attend, but please RSVP below by March 10th. Sign Language interpreting will be available.
Readers will enjoy terrific descriptions, action-packed adventure and a superb sense of the brutality, harshness but beauty of the wintery existence that surrounds these characters. It's no wonder dogs are descended from misunderstood wolves, as the bravery and ultimate loyalty of these canines can not be refuted. As with Rooftoppers, Rundell lets readers truly inhabit her world and are fully invested in this satisfying tale. Highly reommended!
