Everything you can love about Harry Potter and more is found in Jim Dale's reading. I can't stress enough how fantastic he is with all the distinct character voices. I find that this audiobook is a great one for the family to listen to on long road trips.— Jessica
The author's first novel introduces Harry Potter, the son of a powerful wizard and witch who are killed by an even more powerful sorcerer. Sent to live with his Muggle (non-magical) aunt, uncle, and cousin, Harry is treated poorly without knowing why. On his tenth birthday, Harry learns that he is a wizard and is to go off to Hogwarts, a prestigious school for wizards and witches. Harry and his friends, Hermione and Ron, soon discover that something shady is going on, and they must save Hogwarts from the very sorcerer who killed Harry's parents.

Never reading Paul Tremblay before, I wasn't sure what to expect. OMG! was this intense, thrilling, horrific and way too timely - in other words, could not put it down. However, I did not read it under the covers, but with all my lights on to tell myself........it's only a book.......it's only a book. Mr. Toad's Wild Ride on steroids. - review by Maureen
