Description

This is a collaboration beyond your wildest imagination! Jorma Taccone, from the hit comedy trio The Lonely Island, has paired up with New York Timesbestselling, Caldecott Medalwinning illustrator Dan Santat to create a picture book about time, space, and giant-robot-squids.

BEWARE!

This is a tale of great caution, terror, and destruction . . .

of bath time, and bedtime, and the battle in between.

This is the story of Little Fox and one VERY BIG imagination.

Everyone from Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph and Seth Meyers to music legend Weird Al Yankovic and Tony award-winning playwright Tony Kushner loves Little Fox and the Wild Imagination. Can you imagine that?

About the Author

Jorma Taccone is a comedian, director, and writer. He is one-third of the comedy group The Lonely Island with Akiva Schaffer and Andy Samberg. Jorma has an Emmy, multiple Writers Guild Awards, and a Peabody, which he does not think he deserves. Born in Berkeley, California, he now lives in New York City with his wife, Marielle, and their son, Wylie. Little Fox and the Wild Imagination is his first picture book.

Dan Santat is the Caldecott Medalwinning and New York Timesbestselling author and illustrator of The Adventures of Beekle: The Unimaginary Friend and the road trip/time travel adventure Are We There Yet? His artwork is also featured in numerous picture books, chapter books, and middle-grade novels, including Dav Pilkey's Ricky Ricotta series. Dan lives in Southern California with his wife, two kids, and many, many pets.

Praise For…

A beautiful story about our imagination and how it can change our mood, our minds, and our lives. It's good book for any little person who has a lot on their mind. Amy Poehler, author of Yes, Please!

A tremendously fun book from one of the warmest, most creative fathers I know. Seth Meyers

This adorable story of father-and-son bonding is as sweet as it is funny. Al "Weird Al" Yankovic

Little Fox and the Wild Imagination is a loving look at the power of imagination and what happens when we lead our kids with love. Maya Rudolph

Little Fox and the Wild Imagination had me at 'Pfffffft!' It's a gorgeous, epic adventure that's fueled by shared imagining born out of love. It has obstacles and struggles, as an epic must. It's exciting, seriously good-hearted, and very funnywords and pictures both. And maybe best of all (spoiler alert) its penultimate scene features 5,000 books! Tony Kushner, author of Angels in America

Santat continues to be a master at balance and composition . . . Parents looking to cheer a moody kid up will find inspiration and a word of caution here. Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books

Welcome to Doodleville, everyone!!! This beloved author, Chad Sell, brings us to his next fabulous graphic novel, Doodleville, which grabs the reader, heart and soul!! Doodleville brings us into a normal school, to a normal group of kids, in a normal art club.....except that these kids' doodles come alive!!! Drew loves her doodles dearly, but when one of her doodles goes rogue and hurts the other student's characters, she is wisked away on an adventure that teaches her so much: the complexities of friendship, the strength that lies in trusting yourself, and the power of working together with friends that can save the day!! Chad Sell's trademark combo of fun, vibrant artwork and deeply emotional and human storytelling makes you smile throughout, and reminds you that "being different can make you powerful." Sell's work is also a perfect example of representation as it should be: people of all types existing together, just like in real life. And while having a blast visiting Doodleville, you may even learn a bit of art history! No matter what, you'll surely be smiling till the very last page.
