What a Mingle is…
A Mingle is a gathering of children’s writers and illustrators designed to share knowledge, great news, and companionship. Generally, they are free activities offered by the SCBWI-Los Angeles Region.
A Mingle is a great place to meet local authors and illustrators – people like you who share your interests and goals. At a Mingle, you’ll have the chance to network, make friends, and get connected.
Though occasionally guest speakers are featured at Mingles, they are usually meetings that are structured around roundtable discussions about various topics of interest to children’s writers and illustrators.
…and what a Mingle isn’t
A Mingle is not a fix-it, nor is it a forum for critique, though critique groups can grow out of a Mingle.

Give the Dark My Love made me really think about the phrase "Desperate times call for desperate measures." From the ignorance of the nobles to the speed of which the plauge spreads and the lingths to which Nedra went to try and stop it. With a plot that kept on thickening and characters full of secrets, Give the Dark My Love was amazing. I would would recommend this book to anyone bored of the same plot and quest in their reads. - Kaitlyn, customer age 13
