A very special storytime event will happen on Saturday, February 14th at 10:30 am.

The multi-talented artist/illustrator and creative person, VINCENT X. KIRSCH, will delight us with his newest book he illustrated, GINGERBREAD FOR LIBERTY.  Besides listening to some fantastic stories with Vincent, we will do a simple craft and have some gingerbread cookies!

Book Description
Christopher Ludwick was a German-born American patriot with a big heart and a talent for baking. When cries of “Revolution!” began, Christopher was determined to help General George Washington and his hungry troops. Not with muskets or cannons, but with gingerbread!
Cheerfully told by Mara Rockliff and brought to life by Vincent Kirsch’s inventive cut-paper illustrations, Gingerbread for Liberty is the story of an unsung hero of the Revolutionary War who changed the course of history one loaf at a time.

Vincent X. Kirsch is the author and illustrator of many pictures books, including Noah Webster and His Words, written by Jeri Ferris Chase. To learn more about all of his books, visit his website at vincentxkirsch.com.
